Click on Jacket order to the right under event registration to proceed!

Scout Families,

Its Fall and we are putting together another jacket order.  We've managed to find a product that we like, in the sizes, color and quantities that will work for us, so we need to move quickly before we miss our chance.

Please look at the attached flyer and sign up on the troop website. The jackets will be $35 each EXCEPT the 2XL and larger sizes they will be $45. The sizing guide at the bottom of the flyer may be of help, if you are unsure, order the next size up. We need to order all at the same time so please bring payment to the next meeting. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for your prompt attention in this matter.

Payments are to be made directly to Michael Whitehawk.  You can pay with check, cash or venmo.

camping trip - Ft Washington State park and Philly trail medal

Posted by scampanella on Sep 19 2022 - 5:22am

Historic Trail medal Opportunity

Join the troop on our first fall camping trip of 2022.  September 23-25 we have a great trip planned.  We will be camping at Fort  Washington State Park.  Taking Public Transportation into the city and then completing either The Trail of Freedom or the Ben Franklin Trail.  Sign up soon!

Fort Washington State Park and the community of Fort Washington take their name from the temporary fort built here by soldiers of the American Revolution in the fall of 1777. Whitemarsh, as the area was called then, was the scene of the encampment of 12,000 soldiers of General Washington’s army from November 2 until December 11, 1777.

Following the unsuccessful battle of Germantown, Washington chose the heights of the Whitemarsh Valley as an easily defendable position. From here, he pondered the possibility of launching an attack against General Howe’s British army in Philadelphia.

Although Washington decided against an attack, the British marched out from Philadelphia on December 5 to try to engage the Americans in battle. Because of Washington’s strong position, only local skirmishes took place. After much marching back and forth, Howe led his army back to Philadelphia on December 8.

Knowing his poorly clad men needed better quarters, and also to protect the iron forges and foundries in the Schuylkill Valley, Washington left Whitemarsh on December 11, 1777, and marched the Continental Army to Valley Forge. There the American spirit had its first rendezvous with destiny.

Back to School and back to Scouting

Posted by scampanella on Sep 4 2022 - 2:42pm

Welcome back everyone!  This Tuesday is our next scout meeting for the Fall of 2022.  I hop everyone enjoyed the few week break.

Our Life scouts have been very busy this month either planning or completing their Eagle projects.   Let keep up the momentum!

Our first meeting we will be cleaning up around the scout pavilion.  Class B uniforms are recommended.  We will play a few games as well.

Our youth leaders have been hard at work planning for the fall camping and activities.  In September the plan is to do a historical trip to Philadelphia, in October we will be heading to Gettysburg to work on the trail medals and in November we will be going to the cabin and camp of Troop 108 in East Greenville.

Boards of Review

Posted by scampanella on Aug 21 2022 - 6:42pm

Some scouts have completed all of their requirements for their next rank.  This Tuesday we will run a board of review concurrently with the ILST leadership program.  if you have completed all of the requirements for your next rank please email or call Mrs Sible to schedule a meeting time.  Youth leadership training begins at 630 so any Board of review will begin after 7.  We will be meeting at the Campanella house.  I am aware of a few scouts that are eligible.
